Massage Cupping Therapy

Toms River Campus: March 22, 2024 9 am – 6 pm
West New York Campus: March 14, 2024 9 am – 6 pm

Presented by Mary Adams, LMT, CYT, CLT

This manual workshop introduces cupping therapy techniques to Licensed Massage Therapists using manual cupping therapy cups. This workshop is suitable for beginners.

The ancient art of cupping can add a great new tool to a licensed massage therapist’s toolbox. It is easy on the therapist, yet amazingly effective on the client. The vacuum effect of the cups on the soft tissue of the body produces the same or better results than a deep tissue massage normally using only the therapists’ hands applying compression techniques. The effects are faster release of muscle tension, looser fascia, lengthened connective tissue, toned muscle tissue, an increase of fresh blood flow and increased lymphatic flow to facilitate release of metabolic waste and leave the client feeling rejuvenated.

Come prepared to be hands on. Wear loose comfortable clothing in layers, bring your linens and massage oils (cupping is done using oil vs cream or lotion.)

The facility will provide massage tables and bolsters.

Please Note: The Toms River class on March 22, 2024 will be presented by Christine Matecki.
