This hybrid class consists of 3 virtual classes, followed by 5 in-person dates. To reduce costs and travel expenses for students, this class combines Abdominal Therapy for Professionals – Part 1 (anterior) and Abdominal Therapy for Professionals - Part 2 (posterior) into one class. This class is being offered through The Abdominal Therapy Collective Inc, and is experiential, working holistically with mind, body, and spirit.
The Anterior portion of this classes focuses on an abdominal therapy that is well known for helping with many common digestive, reproductive, and urinary issues. This professional development course begins by giving you tools for your own self-care, and as you experience this work in your own body, you will gain a unique perspective of Abdominal Therapy’s profoundly effective techniques. Having established this work through your own experience, you will then learn to apply these techniques in a professional capacity to be offered to your clients. Abdominal organs depend on a rich supply of blood, nerve, lymph and qi for proper function and robust health. Abdominal massage can help to clear obstructions to proper flow and improve homeostasis, hemodynamics and vitality for the entire body. The abdomen is the truly the core of the body, and many traditional healers felt now treatment was complete without addressing the abdomen.
The Anterior portion of this class offers a wealth and breadth of anatomy that you likely have not been exposed to before, and you will leave wondering why you never were taught this essential information before.
The Posterior portion of this class uses techniques from the profession of Naprapathy, as well as traditional healing wisdom, to work on the lower back, hips, and sacrum to balance the pelvis and support the function of the abdominal organs. Upon completion of this course, you are welcomed into the Abdominal Therapy Collective community as a practitioner and will be able to immediately offer the techniques you have learned to your clients.
