We encourage you to review the Board’s instructions carefully, as they outline all current requirements, fees, and steps needed to restore your license. Once you receive guidance from the Board on how many CE credits you may need, we would be more than happy to help you register for an upcoming class being held at our school.

Cancellation Policies
Our Continuing Education policies are designed to ensure the quality and viability of the specialized workshops held at our school. These terms were co-created and agreed upon with our Continuing Education instructors who often travel and rely on minimum enrollment numbers to run their specialized programs. We thank you for respecting these professional commitments.
Body in Mind Massage Institute (BIMMI) and/or class instructor reserves the right to cancel a class due to under-enrollment at which time, participant will be issued a full refund within 2 weeks of cancellation either using the same form for which class was paid, or by check mailed to the participant.

Bi-Annual Requirements
Licensed Massage Therapists in the State of New Jersey must take 20 hours of Continuing Education classes every 2 years, including 2 hours of Ethics & 1 hour of Law. 6 may be taken online. CPR classes must be taken in person. CE classes in NJ must be completed by November 30, 2026 – for the current Biennial period.
NOTE: New Jersey allows you to carry over up to 6 extra CE hours into the next biennial period (excluding the required 2 hours of Ethics and 1 hour of Law, which must be completed within each period). https://www.njconsumeraffairs.gov/mbt

Continuing Education NEWS FLASH:
PLEASE NOTE: Pursuant to the requirements of N.J.A.C. 13:37A-4.1(b), each applicant for the biennial licensure renewal must complete twenty (20) hours of continuing education during the preceding biennial period, except as provided for in N.J.A.C. 13:37A-4.1(d) and (e). The twenty (20) hours of coursework must be related to the practice of massage and bodywork therapy, and must include at least two (2) hours in ethics and one hour (1) in the laws and rules pertinent to the practice of massage and bodywork therapy in New Jersey, specifically, N.J.S.A. 45:11-53 et seq., and N.J.S.A. 13:37A-1.1 et seq. Licensees may only obtain a total of six credit hours through courses presented on-line or through DVDs. See N.J.A.C. 13:37A-4.1(c).
A maximum of six of the mandatory 20 credit hours of continuing education can be obtained from courses presented online (Internet courses) or through DVD courses.

A state board of massage, massage and bodywork, physical therapy or chiropractic.
